Past Due: Report and Recommendations of
the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office Civic memory Working Group

As part of Polymode's team, we designed a report for The Los Angeles Mayor's Office Civic Memory Working Group in collaboration with Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West, with assistance from the J. Paul Getty Trust. The design of the book report tries to capture the grappling of L.A.'s past and uplifting histories and narratives, especially narratives of the past that are heavily buried, whitewashed, and erased.




My role during this project was to design an identity and system across the report and website. I worked closely with Happening Studio to bring in UX and UI elements that referenced the density and complexity of the information. The website features interactive footnotes and an interactive map that was designed by Scott Reinhard.
